Today at around 10.30 a.m. (Tashkent time) insiders of the currency market presented forecasts that the official dollar exchange rate will rise around 400-410 sums.

On August 8, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met a delegation of Turkish company Cengiz Holding headed by Chairman of the Board Mehmet Cengiz.

Javlonbek Oybekovich Umarkhodjaev was appointed acting chairman of the board of  Uzbekistan Airports JSC. This was reported by the Ministry of Transport.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev participated in a tripartite summit chaired by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhammedov, with the participation of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon on August 4.

Topical issues on the  bilateral agenda were discussed.

They also exchanged views comprehensively on the regional agenda.

There is downward shift in exports of Tashkent region compared to last year, particularly Yangiyul district, Bekobad and Chirchik cities in textile production, Zangiota and Yukorichirchik  in electrical engineering products, and Almalyk in production of building materials.

On August 1, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev acquainted with a presentation on measures to increase mineral reserves and volume of production.

Earlier, social media reported that Uzbeks involved in the construction of Mariupol had their passports confiscated and later were mobilised as "volunteers" for the war. So far, the Uzbek side has not reacted in any way.

The integration of ATMs of Uzcard and Humo cards was successfully completed in Uzbekistan.

At the end of the meeting, the president warned that no one will be allowed to work in the old fashioned manner.

It was noted at the meeting that at least twice a year a public survey will be conducted on the principle of "Road safety is under public control".
