Lukashenko offers Uzbekistan assistance in building nuclear power plant
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has offered assistance to Uzbekistan in the construction of a nuclear power plant during a meeting with Uzbekistan’s ambassador to Belarus, Rahmatullo Nazarov, the BelTA news agency reported.
“We are aware of your interest in the expertise of our specialists in the construction of nuclear power plants. We acquired such competencies thanks to the Russians. Together with Russian specialists, we are working in many parts of the world where nuclear power units are being built. If it suits you, you can come at any time. Your representatives can sit down and discuss with the specialists - the minister will issue the relevant instruction,” the Belarusian leader said.
Lukashenko also stressed that Belarus is ready to provide comprehensive support for the construction of a nuclear power plant in Uzbekistan.
“We will try to ensure that our specialists provide you with as much assistance as possible. You can determine for yourselves in which areas we may be useful,” he noted.
