Uzbek woman exploited by employers in India returned home
An Uzbek citizen, R.R. (female), was repatriated after finding herself in a difficult situation in India due to the loss of her documents and the dishonest actions of her employers. Facing the risk of illegal exploitation, the woman sought assistance from Uzbekistan’s Embassy in New Delhi.
Embassy staff promptly established contact with local law enforcement and migration authorities and helped resolve the legal issues related to the citizen’s stay in India.
With the embassy’s assistance, the necessary exit documents were issued, and the compatriot safely returned to Uzbekistan on March 14 aboard Uzbekistan Airways flight HY424.
Uzbekistan’s diplomatic mission in India has urged citizens to remain vigilant when traveling abroad, avoid trusting suspicious job offers, and strictly comply with the laws of foreign countries.
