Shavkat Mirziyoyev awards compatriot for heroic act in Russia
As previously reported, an Uzbek migrant worker, Khayrullo Ibadullayev, rescued achild who had fallen from the window of a multi-storey residential building in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
After noticing the child hanging from a window, Ibadullayev rushed beneath the building and managed to catch the boy mid - air as he lost his grip and fell headfirst. The child’s life was saved thanks to the prompt first aid he provided. As a result of his courageous actions, Ibadullayev sustained minor injuries, though no serious harm was reported.
The act of bravery demonstrated by Khayrullo Ibadullayev was officially recognized by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
On February 23, by presidential decree, Ibadullayev Khayrullo Saydullayevich was awarded the “Jasorat” (Bravery) Medal for risking his own life and health to assist a young child falling from the upper floors of a multi - storey building, thereby saving the child’s life and clearly demonstrating the noble qualities of courage, heroism, and selflessness inherent in our people.
