Uzbek President awarded honorary titles of Doctor and Professor by a leading university of Pakistan
As part of the first meeting of the Strategic Cooperation Council, a ceremony was held to confer the honorary titles of Doctor and Professor of the National Universityof Sciences and Technology (NUST) of Pakistan on the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif presented the official certificate to the Uzbek leader.
The titles were awarded in recognition of President Mirziyoyev’s significant contribution to socio-economic and educational reforms, the country’s consistent modernization, the development of science and technology, and efforts to strengthen international cooperation and academic ties.
During the ceremony, Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed his gratitude to the Prime Ministerof Pakistan, the university’s leadership, and the academic community for the awarding of the high honors. He emphasized the importance of further strengthening cooperation in education and jointly training highly qualified specialists.
Founded in 1991, the National University of Sciences and Technology specializes in scientific research and innovation, the training of master’s and doctoral students, and the conduct of applied research aimed at meeting the needs of industry and the economy.
