Cengiz Holding presented new plans for business expansion in Uzbekistan

On August 8, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met a delegation of Turkish company Cengiz Holding headed by Chairman of the Board Mehmet Cengiz.
The issues of further expanding mutually beneficial cooperation were discussed, including the implementation of joint projects for the development and modernisation of our country's economic sectors.
It should be noted that with the participation of this leading diversified holding company from Turkey, two projects were successfully completed in Uzbekistan - modern power plants with a total capacity of 460 megawatts were put into operation in Tashkent and Syrdarya regions.
During the meeting, the head of our state was informed in detail about the performance of these energy facilities.
Besides, the President of Uzbekistan launched the construction of another power plant in Jizzak region with a capacity of over 500 megawatts.
Cengiz Holding also presented plans for new projects with a total value of more than 5 billion dollars.
These include modernisation and construction of highways and tunnels, implementation of geological exploration works and development of promising mineral deposits, as well as management of energy infrastructure on a basis of public-private partnership.
The leader of Uzbekistan gave instructions for speedy preparation and full-scale implementation of promising projects with the participation of Turkish investors.
