On May 31, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke by telephone with Mufti Sheikh Nuriddin Kholiqnazar, Chairman of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan.

During these blessed days, many of our compatriots are in the holy city of Mecca for the Hajj pilgrimage. The President inquired about the conditions provided for the pilgrims and the health and well-being of the elderly participants.

Mufti Kholiqnazar noted that all necessary organizational measures have been taken to ensure the pilgrims can perform their Hajj rituals sincerely and fully.

At present, all 15,000 Uzbek pilgrims have arrived in Saudi Arabia. They are accompanied by more than 300 group leaders, 50 highly qualified doctors, over 10 chefs, and other specialists.

This year, at Uzbekistanʼs request, tents in the Arafat area have been set up in enclosed structures. The tents are surrounded by heat-insulating panels, equipped with cooling systems, and furnished with carpets and bedding, providing additional comfort for pilgrims in the current summer heat.

In short, preparations for this yearʼs Hajj season have been carried out with even greater care and thoroughness. All necessary conditions have been created. Filled with gratitude, our compatriots are now standing at the holy sites, praying to the Almighty for peace in our country and prosperity for our people.

During the conversation, Mufti Kholiqnazar conveyed the greetings and prayers of the pilgrims to the President. In response, President Mirziyoyev extended his warm wishes to all pilgrims and wished them a safe and healthy return to Uzbekistan.

The conversation was warm and uplifting, with hopes expressed that, upon their return, the respected pilgrims would serve as role models, strengthening social life in mahallas, supporting those in need, and promoting knowledge and enlightenment among the youth.
