Abdukodir Khusanov named Asia’s Best Young Footballer of 2025
Uzbekistan national team and Manchester City centre-back Abdukodir Khusanov has been named Asia’s Best Young Footballer of 2025 following a vote conducted by Goalpost.
Khusanov topped the poll ahead of several highly rated young players from across the continent, including representatives from Australia, Indonesia, the Republic of Korea, and Iraq.
He has also been recognised as Asia’s most valuable footballer. At the start of 2025, Khusanov completed a move from France’s Lens to Manchester City, with the transfer reportedly valued at £40 million.
In addition, Khusanov was ranked 86th in The Athletic’s list of the 100 strongest players set to feature at the World Cup. The Transfermarkt portal currently values the defender at €35 million.
