The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan held talks
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held talks with the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov in Ashgabat.
At the meeting, the heads of state discussed topical issues of Uzbek-Turkmen relations of deepened strategic partnership based on centuries-old ties of friendship and good neighborly ties between our brother nations.
The expansion of practical cooperation in all areas was noted with satisfaction.
High-level agreements are being successfully implemented. Cooperation between governments, ministries and agencies has carried out systematically.
The volume of mutual trade is increasing and mutually beneficial cooperation in various sectors of the economy is expanding. It was noted that the joint trade zone "Shavot-Toshovuz" should be put into operation as soon as possible.
The importance of promoting joint cooperation projects, developing inter-regional exchanges and cultural - humanitarian relations was emphasized.
They also exchanged views comprehensively on the regional agenda.
