The President of Uzbekistan met with the National Leader of the Turkmen people
Upon arrival in Ashgabat city, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Topical issues on the bilateral agenda were discussed.
The sides noted the dynamic development of Uzbek-Turkmen multifaceted relations and consistent deepening of strategic partnership between the two countries.
Enhancing practical cooperation in trade, industry, energy, agriculture, water management, transport and other priority areas was emphasized.
Uzbek and Turkmen leaders also exchanged views on issues of regional cooperation and reviewed the schedule of upcoming events.
