The Ministry of Justice has officially registered “Zomin qozon patir” (Zomin pot bread) as a geographical indication, according to a statement from the ministry’s press service.

“Samarqand qog’ozi” or “Samarkand Paper” has been officially registered as a geographical indication.

Under the Law "On Geographical Indications", a geographical indication is defined as a sign that identifies a product as originating from a specific geographical location, where the product’s quality, reputation, or other characteristics are significantly linked to its geographical origin.

To support scientific and practical training, botanical or dendrological gardens will be created in Karakalpakstan and the regions.

The aid package includes flour, rice, sugar, pasta, confectionery products, vegetable oil, ready-to-eat meals, red beans, and mung beans.
