Football in Uzbekistan to be digitalized
A Presidential Decree titled “On measures to digitalize the football sector in Uzbekistan and further increase its popularity” (No. PQ–262, dated 21 August 2025) has been adopted, the Huquqiy axborot Telegram channel reported.
The document outlines the key objectives for the development of football in the country, including:
- upgrading the material and technical base to meet international standards and expanding the number of football fields to boost participation;
-fully digitalizing the system for selecting talented players and training them as professional footballers.
A new information system, the National Football Electronic Platform, will also be established.
From 1 January 2026, on a pilot basis, football academies and schools will have their training sessions monitored online through this platform. It will also support player selection as well as the monitoring of medical and physical performance indicators.
Starting 1 March 2026, ticket sales for football matches will be carried out through a dedicated online system. The process will include personal identification and the use of matrix barcode (QR code) technologies.
