Construction halted, power cut at 59 undocumented sites in Tashkent

Authorities have suspended construction and disconnected the power supply at 59 sites across various districts of the capital due to a lack of proper documentation, according to the Tashkent City Administration's press service.
The press service stated that construction was halted after it was determined that none of the sites possessed the full set of required permits and approvals.
Specifically, construction work has been suspended at 5 sites in Olmazor district, 5 in Chilonzor, 8 in Mirobod, 7 in Mirzo Ulugbek, 3 in Sergeli, 2 in Uchtepa, 2 in Yakkasaroy, 17 in Yangihayot, 3 in Yashnobod, 4 in Yunusobod, and 3 in Bektemir district.
In addition, the city administration has urged citizens planning to purchase housing to remain vigilant and has provided the following recommendations:
• always request and thoroughly check original versions of all property-related documents, including cadastral records, expert assessments, council decisions, and technical inspection reports;
• avoid making payments in cash or through informal channels, and thoroughly review all terms of the purchase agreement;
• If there is any doubt about the legality of the developer or property, or if documentation is delayed, contact the city administration’s official Telegram bot for verification of the property's legal status.
The administration emphasized that these measures aim to protect citizens from fraudulent real estate activity and ensure compliance with urban development regulations.
