A new Uzbeklandmark has opened in the heart of Europe. The “Made in Uzbekistan” national products trade house has begun operations in Paris, marking a practical step inbringing goods produced by Uzbek women and artisans to the European market. The initiative reflects their dedication, perseverance, and confidence in their craft.

The project was initiated by the Public Fund for the Support of Civil Society Institutions under the Oliy Majlis. It was implemented in cooperation with Uzbekistan’s Embassy in France, the Public Fund, and the Tadbirkor Ayol International Association of Businesswomen. The partnership demonstrates the unified efforts of state and public institutions in advancing shared goals.

The Paris trade house carries social significance, offering handicrafts produced by women and persons with disabilities. Each item represents not only a product, but also asource of family income, a symbol of women’s independence, and the realization of artisans’ aspirations.

National embroidery, atlas and adras fabrics, handmade souvenirs, and natural products are presented to the French public not only as goods, but as representatives of Uzbek culture. The main objective is to showcase and promote products made by Uzbek women while fostering cultural dialogue between the two nations.

Uzbekistan’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to France, Nodir Ganiyev, met with entrepreneurs and artisans from the delegation. Discussions focused on expanding the trade house’s activities and promoting national products and Uzbek brands in the French market. Proposals were also put forward to implement joint projects in the fields of the economy, preschool education, and culture. The dialogue underscored that the trade house represents only the beginning of broader economic and cultural cooperation.

Delegation members also visited the Maison de l’Ouzbekistan boutique-gallery, which opened approximately six years ago. The visit highlighted that groundwork for Uzbek products in Paris had already been established, with the new trade house serving as a logical continuation of those efforts.

“Our women’s work must enter the global market,” said Sayyora Jo‘rayeva, Director ofthe Tashkent City Women’s Support Center. “The opening of a second national trade house in France is a significant milestone. The project plays an important role in bringing products made by Uzbek women to European markets and increasing family incomes. Similar initiatives financed by the Public Fundunder the Oliy Majlis are delivering tangible results in supporting women and promoting employment. We intend to open more national trade houses and expandour presence in global markets.”

The new trade house opens additional opportunities for Uzbek entrepreneurs and artisans. Access to the markets of France and other European countries marks a new stage in competition, quality, and branding, while also encouraging improvements in domestic production standards.
