Tashkent schools to use cameras to assess mental well-being of 10th and 11th-grade students
Special cameras will be installed in all general education schools in Tashkent to monitor 10th- and 11th-grade students, according to a decision issued by the city mayor(khokim).
As part of the Smart School electronic program, the initiative will first be piloted in the Olmazor district, covering 250 classrooms across 31 general education schools.
The program provides for the installation of special cameras in 10th- and 11th-grade classrooms. These cameras will enable continuous monitoring of education quality, track student attendance, and use artificial intelligence to assess students’ mental well-being. The system will also evaluate students’ interest in academic subjects and measure teachers’ pedagogical capacity.
The proposal was put forward by the Deputy Mayor of Tashkent for Youth Policy, Social Development, and Spiritual-Educational Affairs.
According to the decision, the installation costs will be covered by local district budgets.
Earlier, it was reported that digitization work had been completed in seven markets (bazaars) in Namangan region.
