Uzbekistan wins 12 medals at Tashkent Grand Slam Tournament

The three-day Grand Slam Judo Tournament in Tashkent has concluded, with Uzbekistan securing third place in the overall standings. The national team made history, winning 12 medals—the highest-ever tally for the country in a single competition.
Uzbekistanʼs judokas delivered an impressive performance, claiming one gold, three silver, and eight bronze medals. Shakhzodkhoja Sharipov secured the nationʼs only gold medal, clinching the championship title. Meanwhile, Zamakhshari Bekmurodov (-66 kg), Khurshida Razzokberdiyeva (-70 kg), and Arslonbek Tojiev (-81 kg) each earned silver medals.
Our national team athletes also won 8 bronze medals. Among them were Kamoliddin Bakhtiyorov (-60 kg), Anvarjon Ibrohimov (-60 kg), Mukhriddin Tilovov (-66 kg), Artyom Shturbabin (-66 kg), Shahram Akhadov (-73 kg), Nurbek Murtazoev (-90 kg), Ernazar Sarsenbaev (-100 kg), and Alisher Yusupov (+100 kg).
The Uzbekistan national team delivered an outstanding performance in this tournament, demonstrating their full potential. This achievement serves as a great source of inspiration for the development of judo in our country and is expected to fuel further success in future competitions.
