Uzbekistan to host the International Olympiad in Informatics in 2026.
The President announced that the International Olympiad in Informatics will be held in our country for the first time in 2026. This was reported on the official telegram channel of the president’s spokesman Sherzod Asadov.
In this regard, officials were instructed to hold contests in schools throughout the country at the "school - district - region - republic" levels and select the most gifted 100 pupils from 5-8 grades.
Qualified experts from countries with a well-developed IT sphere will be involved in training those students for the upcoming international Olympiad.
