Uzbekistan appoints its first Ambassador to Liechtenstein
Dilshod Akhatov was appointed as Uzbekistan’s first Ambassador to the Principality of Liechtenstein and presented his credentials to Crown Prince Alois. The Dunyo Information agency reported this.
During the meeting, it was noted that the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Liechtenstein in March 2024 laid an important foundation for developing cooperation on a systematic basis and that Vaduz supports expanding and strengthening ties with Tashkent.
The Uzbek delegation also met with the Deputy Prime Minister of Liechtenstein and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Environment and Culture, Sabine Monauni. The two sides praised the constructive dialogue between the countries within the United Nations and other international organizations.
At the end of the meeting, Crown Prince Alois conveyed his warm greetings and best wishes to the President of Uzbekistan, and wished peace and prosperity to the Uzbek people.
For reference, in October 2023, Akhatov presented his credentials as Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to German Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier. He also currently serves as Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Switzerland and the Czech Republic on a concurrent basis.
