Uzbek woman appointed Secretary General of International Fencing Federation
The leadership of the International Fencing Federation (FIE) has appointed Gulnora Tulkunovna Saidova as the Secretary General of the FIE.
This significant event holds historical importance for both Uzbekistan and the global community, as it marks the first time a woman has been appointed to the position of Secretary General in the history of the FIE.
Currently, Gulnora Saidova serves as the Secretary General of the Uzbekistan Fencing Federation, the Executive Secretary of the Asian Fencing Confederation, and the President of the Central Asian Fencing Confederation.
She graduated from the Uzbekistan State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports in 1992.
