President Shavkat Mirziyoyev continues to visit places not included in the program on his trip to Kashkadarya region. School No. 12 in the center of the Karshi district - Beshkent - was also visited unplanned.

About 1,400 boys and girls are currently studying here. A hundred qualified teachers teach at the school. Last year the school underwent a major renovation.  The school provides training in professional skills and classes in foreign languages. There are computer literacy, sewing, carpentry, and other clubs.

The Head of state visited classrooms and talked with teachers and students. He was interested in school facilities and the quality of textbooks. 

These days, preparations for the winter season and tree-planting activities are being held throughout the country. The President viewed the work in this regard on the example of the school. Officials were given instructions regarding the heat supply to public facilities, and the application of energy-saving technologies. The necessity of modernization in school construction standards, particularly concentrating on infrastructural content, functionality, and energy efficiency was emphasized.

Particular attention was paid to the issues of greening school territories as part of the “Yashil Makon” (Green Space) project.

- Schools where culture is fostered and learned. The teachers are those who lead by example. If the school area is landscaped and seasonal flowers are planted, it will have both educational and encouraging effects on the young generation, - the Head of state said.
