In accordance with the decrees of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, on the occasion of the thirty-second anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a group of our compatriots was awarded with honorary titles, orders and medals, and foreign investors were awarded with the "Dostlik" order. On August 30, the award ceremony was held in Koksaroy.

Head of our state first congratulated the participants of the ceremony on the Independence Day and expressed his best wishes. Uzbekistan's huge path of development over the years and changes in all spheres was stated. 

- In continuation of actions aimed at ensuring the interests of the people and exalting the honour and dignity of the individual, we have developed the "Uzbekistan 2030" strategy. More than 1 million proposals were received on its draft when the project was put up for public discussion. What does this mean? It means our people are not indifferent to their future. It clarified directions we should work and what shortcomings there are. This is a "road map" for us. The biggest judge of the state is the people, said the President.

The strategy defines the tasks of strengthening the independence of our country and its peaceful life, building a strong economy, ensuring the welfare and well-being of our people, and educating the younger generation as comprehensively developed individuals.

- To put it simply, our goal is only one: to build a New Uzbekistan where it would be a pleasure to live and work, - said Shavkat Mirziyoev.

This is based primarily on the peace and stability in our country. Our people appreciate this and live in a spirit of aspiration and work. New modern industrial enterprises are being launched. Important results are being achieved in science, technology and services. According to the statistics of 2022, the economic growth rate of our country was 5.7 percent.

Today, comfortable houses, roads and bridges, hospitals, kindergartens, schools, cultural and sports centers are built in all regions of our country. Despite the difficulties of nature, agrarians are achieving high yields, ensuring food security and abundance for the population.

Speaking about this, the President mentioned the wise words of the great thinker Alisher Navoi: "Living by people's concerns is the most important criterion of humanity".

This can be seen in the care provided to socially vulnerable segments of the population, including members of the older generation, women and youth. The level of poverty in our republic is significantly decreasing due to the support of low-income families, providing quality education, training in modern professions, and improving infrastructure.

The head of our state noted the transformations in the mahallas and civic activity.

- From the very first day, we have established a direct dialogue with the people. We are bringing many systems into mahalla. Why? Mahalla is the foundation of our statehood. Peace and tranquility in 9,400 mahallas means peace and tranquility in the whole country. Imagine the changes that would take place if investments, education and upbringing, construction and improvement started from the mahalla?! For example, with "Open Budget" project - people themselves point out problematic issues, vote and control over themselves. Therefore, we will decisively continue our work on the development of mahalla system," Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

The President invited participants of ceremony on stage and congratulated on their awards. Emphasizing that he appreciates them as the true creators of New Uzbekistan, he thanked them for their selfless work and example for the younger generation.

- What is happiness? It is when one is healthy, surrounded by the care of children, when one is respected in the family and among people, when you and your work are appreciated. Our whole nation is proud of you and looks at you with admiration. I wish that this respect and honour never leave you," Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

Then there was a solemn presentation of honorary titles, order 

It is known that the "Imam Bukhari" Order was established at the initiative of our President to strengthen national identity. Two of our prominent compatriots, who showed spiritual courage in our country and region in preserving the holy religion of Islam, studying the scientific heritage and conveying it to Muslims, late muftis  - Sheikh Ziyovuddinhon ibn Eshon Bobohon and Sheikh Muhammad Sodiq Muhammad Yusuf were awarded with Order "Imam Bukhari". Their children received these awards at the event.

The award was also given to distinguished representatives of the older generation, civil servants, scientists and teachers, entrepreneurs, industrialists, artists, military personnel, athletes and coaches.

The President congratulated them and expressed his heartfelt words and wishes.

- Today, I am happy to see your open face, your happy eyes, and your high spirit. I honestly feel such joy as if I had received an award myself. I wish that the high honors and awards shining on your chest inspire you to new achievements," the President said.

The awardees expressed gratitude for the high attention and expressed their best wishes to the people of our country.
