National brand “Avicenna” to be launched. What sector will it cover?
Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution on “Additional measures for the further development of medical and wellness tourism in the Republic of Uzbekistan.” The channel “Huquqiy Axborot” reported this.
According to the resolution, the “Medical Service Hospitality” program will be implemented. A medical and wellness tourism brand for Uzbekistan will also be developed under the name “Avicenna”.
Besides, a system will be introduced to monitor the quality of services provided by state and private medical institutions, sanatoriums, and guesthouses. The establishment of medical tourism clusters that jointly offer consulting, diagnostics, treatment, tour operator services, transport, and medical interpreter services is also planned.
The operation of hotel-type sanatoriums, categorized by star ratings, will be launched. Sanatorium and resort zones will be established in areas with mountainous terrain, therapeutic mud deposits, healing waters, and thermal water sources.
It has also been announced that by 1 April 2025, private medical and wellness establishments connected to the automated special electronic program for guest registration (“E-mehmon”) via the Internet will be exempt from paying the initial six-month subscription fee.
Earlier, it was reported which passenger car model was produced the most in Uzbekistan.
