International University of Turkic States to be established in Tashkent

According to the Presidential decree dated January 25, 2025, the International University of Turkic States (IUTS) will be established in Tashkent. The university will focus on training highly qualified professionals and advancing research in various disciplines while adhering to international academic standards. Its establishment is expected to play a significant role in enhancing international cooperation in education.
The university will offer comprehensive programs, including engineering, construction, logistics, IT, healthcare, agriculture, the food industry, and economic and social sciences. Academic programs will be developed in collaboration with leading Turkish higher education institutions and aligned with international standards. Joint degree programs and collaborative research initiatives will also be implemented.
The IUTS will operate as a non-governmental higher education institution. The university will organize its educational process following Uzbek legislation and develop its curricula based on the expertise of Turkish universities ranked within the global top 1000. The educational process will begin in the 2025/2026 academic year.
Admission to the university will be based on a tuition contract system. The university will independently determine its admission requirements and tuition fees. A dedicated management board will be formed to oversee and ensure the effective organization of the universityʼs activities. The creation of this university represents a significant step toward strengthening international partnerships and cooperation in the field of education.
