Based on the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers "On additional measures to introduce market mechanisms in the fuel and energy complex", tariffs for electricity and natural gas are subject to change from May 1 this year.

According to the document, the new prices of fuel and energy resources have been determined, which will gradually change in 2024-2025; as well as the basic norms for monthly consumption of electricity and natural gas for the population have been approved, which will be in effect from 1 May.

Thus, starting May 1, the price of electricity for consumers in Groups I and II will remain unchanged at 1000 UZS and 900 UZS per 1 kWh, respectively.

For Group III consumers, including household residents in apartment buildings and dormitories with centralized electric stoves for cooking, tariffs are determined based on the volume of monthly consumption:
- up to 200 kWh per month - 225 UZS;
- from 201 kWh to 1000 kWh per month – 450 UZS;
- from 1,001 kWh to 5,000 kWh per month - 675 UZS;
- from 5,001 kWh to 10,000 kWh per month - 787.5 UZS;
- 10,000 kW and above per month - from 900 UZS per kW.

For the rest of the household consumers, tariffs are also determined based on the volume of monthly consumption:
- up to 200 kWh per month - 450 UZS;
- from 201 kWh to 1000 kWh per month - 900 UZS;
- from 1,001 kWh to 5,000 kWh per month – 1,350 UZS;
- from 5,001 kWh to 10,000 kWh per month – 1,575 UZS;
- 10,000 kWh and above per month - from 1,800 UZS.

Prices for Group IV consumers remain unchanged - 900 UZS per kWh.

Following changes to the natural gas supply are introduced.

The payment amount for all consumers remains unchanged at 1,500 UZS per cubic meter.

The price of natural gas for large wholesale consumers and budget organizations remains unchanged at 1,800 UZS per cubic meter. The price of natural gas for the household needs of the population is set depending on the season. In particular, based on monthly consumption during the months November-February:
    up to 500 cubic meters per month - 650 UZS;
    from 501 cubic meters to 2,500 cubic meters per month - 1,500 UZS;
    from 2,501 cubic meters to 5,000 cubic meters per month - 1,950 UZS;
    from 5,001 cubic meters to 10,000 cubic meters per month - 2,275 UZS;
    from 10,001 cubic meters and above - 2,600 UZS per cubic meter.

Based on monthly consumption in March-October months:
    up to 100 cubic meters per month - 650 UZS;
    from 101 cubic meters to 2,500 cubic meters per month - 1,500 UZS;
    from 2,501 cubic meters to 5,000 cubic meters per month - 1,950 UZS;
    from 5,001 cubic meters to 10,000 cubic meters per month - 2,275 UZS;
    from 10,001 cubic meters and above - 2,600 UZS per cubic meter.

The price for one kilogram of liquefied gas sold to the population for domestic needs is fixed at 1,600 UZS. Beginning June 1, 2024, gas-filling compressor stations will supply one cubic meter of natural gas for refueling cars at 1,800 UZS.

The Resolution also establishes prices that will gradually change from April 1, 2025. In particular:

Beginning April 2025, electricity prices for Group I consumers will remain unchanged at 1,000 UZS per 1 kWh. For Group II consumers, each kilowatt-hour of electricity will be supplied for 1,000 UZS.

For Group III consumers, including household consumers living in apartment buildings and dormitories centrally equipped with electric stoves for cooking, tariffs will be determined based on the volume of monthly consumption:
- up to 200 kWh per month - 300 UZS;
- from 201 kWh to 1000 kWh per month - 500 UZS;
- from 1,001 kWh to 5,000 kWh per month -  750 UZS;
- from 5,001 kWh to 10,000 kWh per month - 875 UZS;
- 10,000 kWh and above per month - from 1000 UZS.

For the rest of the household consumers, based on the consumption in one month:
- up to 200 kWh per month - 600 UZS;
- from 201 kWh to 1000 kWh per month – 1,000 UZS;
- from 1,001 kWh to 5,000 kWh per month – 1,500 UZS;
- from 5,001 kWh to 10,000 kWh per month – 1,750 UZS;
- 10,000 kWh and above per month - from 2,000 UZS.

From 1 April next year, consumers of Group IV will pay 1,000 UZS for each kWh of electricity.

The prices for natural gas supplies will change according to the following sequence: the price of natural gas for all types of consumers will increase to 1,800 UZS per cubic meter.

Natural gas will be supplied to gas-filling compressor stations for refueling cars at 2,500 UZS per cubic meter, while thermal power plants and thermal power centers will pay 1,800 UZS for each cubic meter.

Prices for natural gas supplied to the population for household needs will change.  That is, starting from April 1 next year, based on consumption for one month during November-February, the following tariffs are established:
    up to 500 cubic meters per month – 1,000 UZS;
    from 501 cubic meters to 2,500 cubic meters per month - 1,800 UZS;
    from 2,501 cubic meters to 5,000 cubic meters per month – 2,100 UZS;
    from 5,001 cubic meters to 10,000 cubic meters per month - 2,500 UZS;
    from 10,001 cubic meters and above - 3,000 UZS per cubic meter.

 In March–October, tariffs for monthly use of natural gas will be:
    up to 100 cubic meters per month – 1,000 UZS;
    from 101 cubic meters to 2,500 cubic meters per month - 1,800 UZS;
    from 2,501 cubic meters to 5,000 cubic meters per month - 2,100 UZS;
    from 5,001 cubic meters to 10,000 cubic meters per month - 2,500 UZS;
    from 10,001 cubic meters and above - 3,000 UZS per cubic meter.

The cost for one kilogram of liquefied gas sold to the population for household needs will be 2,000 UZS.

Also, the Resolution establishes the basic norms for monthly electricity and natural gas consumption by the population, which will come into effect from 1 May 2024. So the monthly basic norm for electricity is 200 kWh, and for natural gas, it is 500 cubic meters during the heating season and 100 cubic meters during other seasons.

In the Karakalpakstan and Khorezm regions, the heating season spans from October to February, while in other territories, it covers November to February.

The non-heating season in Karakalpakstan and Khorezm region should be considered the months March-September and in other territories the months March-October.
