Two Uzbek citizens in difficult circumstances in Malaysia returned home
Two Uzbek citizens who had been held at a deportation center in Malaysia and found themselves in difficult circumstances have been repatriated, the Dunyo information agency reported.
According to the report, the staff of Uzbekistan’s Embassy met with the management of the Malaysian Ministry of Home Affairs’ Temporary Detention Center for Foreign Citizens, where an agreement was reached to repatriate in the coming days M.Yu., a citizen born in Fergana Region who had been held at the center.
As the citizen did not have a passport, the embassy issued a certificate of return to Uzbekistan. With the support of his relatives, a ticket was purchased for the Kuala Lumpur–Tashkent flight.
In addition, practical assistance was provided to J.M., a citizen born in Samarkand Region who had been stranded in Kuala Lumpur, in obtaining a special exit permit from the Immigration Department of Malaysia’s Ministry of Home Affairs to leave the country.
