The number of patients with acute respiratory viral infections increases in Tashkent
There is a periodic growth in acute respiratory diseases among young children in Uzbekistan. The population of Tashkent takes the main share among those infected with the disease. As a result, an increase in the workload of children's clinical hospitals in the capital compared to other periods of the year is observed. This was reported by the Press Service of the Ministry of Health.
Necessary measures have been taken to reduce the workload in hospitals and provide quality medical care to sick children.
In particular, increase the number of beds for children with acute respiratory viral infections from 300 to 500 at specialized Zangiota-1 infectious disease hospital.
Also, due to the increase in ambulance calls from the population with fever and cough symptoms in recent days, an additional 40 vehicles (vehicles owned by hospitals of Tashkent) were allocated to the "103" service from 06:00 a.m. to 02:00 p.m.
Moreover, from November 25, the Ministry of Health will provide 29 fully equipped Isuzu vehicles to the ambulance service.
In 12 multidisciplinary polyclinics and 72 family polyclinics in the capital, on-call medical service was launched with working hours from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The responsibilities of the on-call service team include the provision of online or on-site medical care to those patients who were examined by the emergency service team either left home, or returned home without being hospitalized, and were on treatment in an outpatient setting.
