Shavkat Mirziyoyev holds a telephone conversation with Serdar Berdimuhamedov
On September 22, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a phone conversation with the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Uzbek Leader warmly congratulated his Turkmen counterpart on his birthday, extending wishes for strong health, happiness, and success. He also conveyed hopes for peace and prosperity to the people of Turkmenistan.
Issues related to further developing and strengthening the friendship, good neighborliness, and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan were discussed during the call.
Parties highlighted the intensive political dialogue and productive interdepartmental relations, including cooperation within the framework of the intergovernmental commission.
They also noted the growing trade turnover between the two nations, establishing the Shavat-Dashoguz border trade zone, and the deepening collaboration in energy and transport sectors. In addition, interregional and cultural exchange programs are actively being implemented.
The leaders also reviewed pressing regional issues and the plan for joint events.
