Shavkat Mirziyoyev gave the solemn oath and took the office
At a joint session of the Legislative Chamber and the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, President-elect Shavkat Mirziyoyev took the oath of office.
At this moment, head of our state is giving a speech.
"Once again, I sincerely thank from the bottom of my heart all my compatriots who put their trust in me and elected me as the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
I have great respect for the State Flag, Coat of Arms and Anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan which are symbols of our holy Motherland and our independence, as well as for the Presidential badge and flag that I have been awarded.
I accept my election to the post of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan as another high recognition of our policy aimed at ensuring human rights and freedoms, also the interests of the people," said the President.
