On June 13 this year, an online forum entitled “E-commerce prospects in Uzbekistan” was held at the Youth Press Club in cooperation with the Youth is Our Future Foundation under the Youth Union of Uzbekistan, The Alibaba Group and China Campus Network Uzbekistan.

It was attended by members of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the “Youth - Our Future” Fund, experts from the State Tax and Customs Committees, young entrepreneurs and youth, as well as media representatives.

In accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 27, 2018 No. PF-5466 “On the state program“ Youth - our future ”, the forum is organized to support the activities of young entrepreneurs, to promote the sale of their goods, to inform young people, in particular young entrepreneurs, of the importance e-commerce in the modern global economy.

At the forum, the Executive Director of the “Youth - Our Future” Fund, Khayrulla Sattarov, shared his knowledge and skills in the field of electronic commerce with young entrepreneurs and participants. He listed the obstacles that young people face in choosing this entrepreneurial path and proposed solutions.

After that, O. Khudoiberdiev, marketing director of China Campus Network Uzbekistan, spoke about the importance of electronic business in the modern world economy, the stages of the emergence and development of electronic business, the superiority of electronic business over traditional business, and the contribution of electronic business to the economy.

Also, during the forum, important e-commerce was shown on the example of the activities of large companies that have been successful in electronic business. About the history of the foundation and development of the Alibaba Group, its development strategy, Mr. Zhou Young, partner of Alibaba.com Ecosystem, founder of China Campus Network Uzbekistan, gave detailed information.

The forum was dedicated to the development and prospects of e-business in Uzbekistan, e-business and tax policy; Customs issues in the e-business segment were discussed by experts. Deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, experts of the State Tax and Customs Committees informed about the benefits provided to entrepreneurs.

The forum noted that today, within the framework of the state program “Youth is our Future”, 25 billion 900 million loans have been allocated for 271 projects in the field of information and communication technologies. All these business projects have been implemented, which has allowed employing about a thousand young people.
