Project to enhance medical services in the Aral Sea region approved

A new project aimed at improving the quality of medical services in the Aral Sea region, in collaboration with Germanyʼs KfW bank, has been approved by a Presidential decree. Within the project framework, measures such as developing the infrastructure of medical institutions, purchasing modern equipment, and providing special vehicles will be undertaken.
As part of the project, necessary medical equipment will be distributed equitably across the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the Khorezm region. Additionally, special-purpose vehicles will be reallocated to enhance the speed and efficiency of healthcare services in the area. The projectʼs financial and technical parameters have been planned in collaboration with German partners to ensure effective implementation.
The Ministry of Health has been designated as the responsible authority for implementing the project. The ministry will oversee the effective use of grant funds and coordinate all processes. Furthermore, the “Procurement Center” state institution under the ministry will manage the contractual receipt of goods and services under the project.
The Ministry of Justice will provide legal reviews of the loan and grant agreements signed between Uzbekistan and KfW Bank. These agreements will ensure transparency in financial and legal relations between the two parties, facilitating the effective implementation of the project.
The project aims to improve the quality of medical services and expand opportunities for providing convenient and prompt medical assistance to the population. This initiative not only seeks to develop medical services but also to bring the overall healthcare system to a new level. These changes will contribute to improving the quality of life for the population in the region.
