President to visit Tajikistan and USA
As part of the President's activities, a number of international events are scheduled for this and next week. This was informed by the Press Secretary of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sherzod Asadov.
On September 14-15, the head of our state will participate in the fifth Consultative Meeting of Heads of Central Asian States and the summit of International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan.
At these summits, the President will put forward a number of important and relevant proposals and initiatives, as well as present his point of view on issues of further strengthening trade and economic, transport and logistics relations in the region; cooperation in the spheres of green economy and energy, water resources and ecology; and fighting together against the negative consequences of climate change.
A second important visit is expected next week to the United States of America, where the head of our state will deliver a speech at the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The President will introduce the international community the reform process in our country, the results achieved in the fields of human rights, socio - political modernization, also will advance a number of important initiatives of both regional and global importance.
Besides, within the framework of the visit, the leader of Uzbekistan will participate in the meeting of the US and Central Asian countries leaders in the "C5+1" format, which will be held at the invitation of the US President.
