President of Uzbekistan receives the highest award of the Organization of Turkic States

In accordance with the agenda of the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), a solemn ceremony was held to present President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev with the highest award - the "Supreme Order of the Turkic World" for his outstanding contribution for strengthening the unity of the Turkic people, actively promoting the interests and views of Turkic countries in the international arena.
President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kasym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov, President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the event.
The award was presented by the President of Kazakhstan on behalf of the Heads of State of the Organisation.
"I consider this award as a symbol of our close friendship and cooperation, which is growing on the basis of true fraternal ties," the Head of our state said at the ceremony, expressing gratitude to his colleagues.
It was noted that the influence and potential of the Turkic world have been on a steady rise. Since joining the OTS in 2019, Uzbekistan has put forward over 50 proposals and initiatives aimed at strengthening friendship, good neighborliness, and multifaceted cooperation among Turkic countries.
Under our country's chairmanship of the organization, more than 100 different events were held, paving the way for innovative mechanisms of practical cooperation and nurturing close partnership relations with influential global and regional structures.
The multifaceted and mutually beneficial relations between Uzbekistan and other member states have seen remarkable expansion. Strategic partnerships have been established, trade volumes have increased, and cooperation has intensified.
"All of our dreams and goals, aspirations and actions are harmonious and congruent. Our Turkic peoples, who have been friends and brothers since time immemorial, will continue to stand united and build a bright future together," President Mirziyoyev said.
