President of Uzbekistan receives the delegation of the Russian Federation
On February 19, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with representatives of the delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, co-chairman of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation Denis Manturov
Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes from the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to President Mirziyoyev.
The issues of implementing trade and economic cooperation agreements adopted following the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Russia on October 5-7, 2023, were considered.
A 6.6 percent growth in bilateral trade in 2023 was noted with satisfaction during the meeting. Projects in industry, energy, transport, metallurgy, chemistry, pharmaceuticals, and other spheres are currently underway. The fruitful results of the meetings of the intergovernmental commission and interregional, educational, and medical forums held in 2023 were highly appreciated.
Particular attention was paid to the importance of maintaining the growth rate of mutual trade, as well as further promotion of cooperation projects, including at the site of the International Industrial Exhibition "Innoprom. Central Asia", which will be held for the third time in Tashkent in April this year.
