President of Turkmenistan awarded the “Order of High-Level Friendship”
A ceremony was held at the Kuksaroy Residence to present the Republic of Uzbekistan’s highest state award — the Order of High - Level Friendship — to the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Presenting the prestigious award, the President of Uzbekistan noted that the decision reflects the sincere respect and recognition of the Uzbek people for the Turkmen leader’s efforts to strengthen friendship, mutual trust, and strategic partnership between the two brotherly nations.
“You are worthily continuing the work of your father, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the People’s Council of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Large-scale projects aimed at creating a reliable foundation for the well-being of the people are being successfully implemented in your country,” the President said.
This year, Turkmenistan is hosting major events dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust and the 30th anniversary of the country’s Neutrality.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s contribution to expanding the multifaceted Uzbekistan–Turkmenistan cooperation was highlighted with appreciation. This includes, first and foremost, the steady development of trade, economic, and cooperative ties. A major project — the Shavat-Dashoguz border trade zone — has recently been launched. Mutually beneficial cooperation is also expanding in the energy, transport, and logistics sectors.
It was emphasized that the award will serve as a lasting symbol of the strong friendship and good-neighborliness between the nations. In response, the Turkmen President expressed gratitude to the Uzbek leader and the people of Uzbekistan for the high recognition, affirming his firm commitment to further strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries.
