President of France to visit Uzbekistan

The President of France Emmanuel Macron will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan on November 2. This was reported in the official news of the Elysee Palace. The French President’s visit to Kazakhstan is also scheduled.
It is noted that the current visit is aimed at deepening relations with these two Central Asian countries.
“France supports the two countries in reform and modernization efforts, promotes the diversification of partnerships, supports their independence and sovereignty and their desire to strengthen ties with Europe”.
"The rapprochement between France and these two countries is taking place in the economic sphere, especially in energy, the supply of essential raw materials, transport infrastructure, health, agri-food independence, and even in the field of defense," the Elysee Palace emphasized.
The visit will include economic forums with the participation of French companies. France also cooperates with countries in the region on serious global issues, including environmental challenges, especially in terms of water management and food security
The press release says that France also cooperates with Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in the field of security, especially in fighting against terrorist threats and illegal drug trafficking, especially related to Afghanistan.
“Against the backdrop of intensifying crises and the danger of a fragmented world, the head of state will also strive to maintain dialogue with countries on all continents and continue to defend peace and stability based on respect for international law and the sovereignty of each country,” the Elysee Palace reported.
