A package of documents aimed at further development of comprehensive cooperation between Uzbekistan and Iran were adopted
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ibrahim Raisi signed a Joint Statement on enhancing cooperation between the two countries.
In addition, 15 documents were adopted by governments, departments and regions during the visit.
These include the Agreement between the governments on preferential trade, the Cooperation Program between Agency for Technical Regulation of Uzbekistan and the National Standard Organization of Iran, and the Action Plan for Cooperation in Technology and Innovation.
Memorandums in the creation of joint free economic zones, cooperation in the fields of pharmaceuticals, transport and transit were adopted.
Also, a Plan of joint measures in Sports, a Memorandum of Understanding on Dispute Resolution and Arbitration, an Optional Agreement on Cooperation in Reinsurance and other documents were signed.
