Teachers' salaries increased by an average of 2.5 times over the past period

On the eve of the new academic year, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired a video conference to discuss issues of school education and identify priority tasks. Raising teachers' salaries was also mentioned. 

Particularly, allowance on top of monthly salary was introduced for teachers with national and international certificates in foreign language, information technology, mathematics, chemistry and biology, as well as a special payment for teachers who decided to work on remote areas.

As a result, the number of teachers with salary from 6 to 10 million soums has reached 23 thousand, and the number of teachers with monthly salary over 10 million soums has exceeded one thousand. Moreover, two thousand teachers are being paid additional allowances from the Minister fund.

In order to reduce the workload at schools, 700 thousand new places for school children were created. This is 15 times more than in previous years. 

This year, school №81  and Al-Khorazmi specialized school in Tashkent received the highest award of the International Eco - School program. Our schools were the first in Central Asia to gain this achievement.

A system of support for highly qualified and self – improving teachers was established basing on new approaches.

"Many of our young people prefer to acquire a profession that matches their interests and abilities. Therefore, if we teach our children at least two foreign languages, computers literacy and professions at school, they will find their place in life," the President said.
