Fergana Valley artisans participate in International Exhibition
Kudratilla NAJMIDDINOV from “Xalq Soʻzi”. As part of the project for sustainable tourism development in the Fergana Valley, organized by Germanyʼs GIZ, nine artisans from the valley have been invited to the international Berlin Bazaar craft exhibition.
“This event provides us with an opportunity to showcase the unique handicrafts of the valley on a global scale. We have brought some of the finest examples of our ancient yet ever-evolving national applied arts to the exhibition,“ says Marina Jabbarova, head of the Silk Granat Center for National Crafts and Tourism.

Among Uzbekistanʼs representatives are Namangan-based embroidery artist Abdulbosit Isoqjonov and potter Vahobjon Buvaev from Gurumsaroy. Their creations, including intricate embroidery on silk fabric and stunning household and souvenir items made from simple clay, have captivated audiences.
The international exhibition, taking place from November 6-10, will feature products from Fergana Valley artisans for the first time, with plans for discussions to establish future collaboration opportunities.
