Donald Trump congratulates Shavkat Mirziyoyev on Boeing deal

It was earlier reported that President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Brendan Nelson, President of Boeing Global, in NewYork.
During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of the timely implementation of the newly signed aircraft delivery contract and long-term cooperation agreements.
U.S. President Donald Trump congratulated Mirziyoyev on the major Boeing deal, writing on his Truth Social account:
“Earlier this month, I spoke with the Highly respected President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Today I want to congratulate President Mirziyoyev on signing a GREAT deal with Boeing! Uzbekistan Airways is purchasing 22 Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft worth over $8 billion. This will create over 35,000 jobs in the United States. President Mirziyoyev is a man of his word, and we will continue to work together on many more items! Thank you for your attention to this matter,” Trump wrote.
According to Uzbekistan Airways, the company has signed a firm contract with Boeing to purchase 14 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, with an option for an additional eight. The first deliveries are expected to begin in 2031.
The airline noted that the new aircraft will expand passenger traffic on key routes, strengthen schedule reliability, and broaden its route network. This will further enhance Central Asia’s connectivity with Europe, North America, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific region.
