Bo Andersson named GM of UzAuto Motors
"Uzavtosanoat" Co., Ltd. Named Bo Andersson as the general manager of " UzAuto Motors " Co., Ltd. and " UzAuto Motors Powertrain" Co., Ltd.
It is reported that Andersson graduated from the Swedish military academy and Harvard University, obtained a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Stockholm University, and is one of the most advanced senior managers in the automotive industry. In 1987, he began his career in the automotive industry at Saab Automobile Company in Sweden.
From 1993 to 2009, he held several procurement positions. From 2001 to 2009, he led the global procurement department of “General Motors”.
From 2009 to 2013, he was appointed president of GAZ group. During this period, Andersson successfully rescued the business of GAZ group from losses.
From 2014 to 2016, he appointed as president of AvtoVAZ. As in the case of GAZ group, Andersson experienced a complete transformation in AvtoVAZ.
After leaving AvtoVAZ, Anderson led “Yazaki Europe, Africa, North & South America” for four years.
At the Adam Smith International Automobile Forum, Bo Andersson was named as the "Best leader in 2010" in the Russian automobile industry. In 2011, Andersson was named the European automotive industry leader of the year in emerging markets in the annual Automotive News European Award, which aims to recognize the most successful leaders in the European automotive industry.
In 2012, Anderson won the European leading automobile publication Automobile Supply Chain Award for restoring the post crisis financial situation of GAZ group and ensuring the company's leading position in the Russian light commercial vehicle market.
For information: " UzAuto Motors " Co., Ltd. and " UzAuto Motors Powertrain" Co., Ltd are the largest subsidiaries of state-owned "Uzavtosanoat" in the automotive industry in Uzbekistan under the technology license agreement signed with General Motors "Chevrolet".
