“We will never stand aside if someone violates the law whether it is criminal street gangs or officials steeped in corruption”

Today, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held an extended meeting of the Republican Council on Spirituality and Enlightenment and met with representatives of culture and art. The recent operational activities to fight against corruption and crime were also underlined at the meeting.
“We will never stand aside and tolerate if someone violates the law and harms the state and society whether it is criminal street gangs or officials steeped in corruption.
Our streets, our mahallas, and our lives must be peaceful, clean, and crime-free in every sense of the word.
In New Uzbekistan, the law must prevail and punishment for crime must be inevitable. And of course, this will definitely happen," the President said.
