Samarkand International Airport ranks high in European rating

Samarkand International Airport has secured second place in the prestigious ACI Europe ranking among airports handling 1 to 10 million passengers annually, according to Air Marakanda.
The Airports Council International (ACI) Europe reports a sharp increase in passenger traffic at Samarkand International Airport this year. This figure has increased by 186% compared to 2019 and 37% compared to 2023.
In 2024, the airport served over 1.38 million passengers, achieving the highest performance in its history.
Currently, the modern terminal of Samarkand International Airport is managed by Air Marakanda. The company collaborates with 17 airlines, operating 18 routes, including 16 international and 2 domestic flights.
