President of Uzbekistan receives the highest CIS award
In accordance with the program of the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States, a solemn ceremony was held to present President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev with the highest award of the Organization - the CIS Badge of Honor for his outstanding contribution to strengthening relations of friendship, good-neighborliness and multifaceted cooperation.
It should be noted that in the last few years, Uzbekistan has intensified its participation in activities of the Commonwealth.
Our country has joined 24 sectoral cooperation bodies and fully participating in activities of 65 CIS structures.
During this period, the President of Uzbekistan put forward about 70 initiatives in many important areas. Most of them were realized with the support of the Commonwealth member states.
