The Central Election Commission announced the final results of the presidential election
The Central Election Commission, at its meeting, considered the results of the early election of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan held on July 9, 2023.
As noted, in the presidential election, more than 15.6 million citizens included in the voters’ list, or nearly 80 percent, freely expressed their will and voted for the candidate they trusted.
At the meeting, a protocol was drawn up on the results of the election of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held on July 9, 2023, and a resolution was adopted to approve these results.
In particular, the decision confirmed Shavkat Miromonovich Mirziyoyev as President-elect of the Republic of Uzbekistan with 87.05 percent of the votes cast by the voters who participated in the election.
It was also confirmed that 4.43% of voters voted for Robakhon Anvarovna Makhmudova, a candidate of the Social Democratic Party of Uzbekistan Adolat, 4.02% for Ulugbek Ilyasovich Inoyatov, a candidate of the People's Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, and 3.74% for Abdushukur Khudoykulovich Khamzaev, a candidate of the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan.
In addition, the issue of appeals received by the CEC in preparation for the early presidential election was considered and the appropriate decision was made.
