Khusanov ranks among Asia’s most valuable footballers
Uzbekistan national team and Manchester City defender Abdukodir Khusanov has been ranked among the most valuable footballers in Asia, according to the latest market update by the renowned statistics portal Transfermarkt.
The 21-year-old Uzbek defender’s market value stands at €35 million, placing him in an elite tier. He now shares the top spot with Brighton’s Kaoru Mitoma, whose valuation was recently revised down from €40 million to €35 million.
Following the October update, the value of Bayern Munich defender Kim Min-jae dropped from €40 million to €32 million, making Khusanov the most valuable defender on the continent.
For reference, Abdukodir Khusanov joined Manchester City from France’s Lens in January this year for €40 million, signing a four-year contract with the English club.
