Afruza Khamdamova becomes two-time world champion ahead of schedule

Afruza has claimed her second world championship title, winning the Under-16 Girlsʼ Group at the World Championship in Brazil, securing her victory ahead of schedule.
She scored 9.5 points in 10 rounds (9 wins and 1 draw), and now, regardless of her result in the final round, no competitor can surpass her score.
Last year Afruza also clinched victory ahead of schedule in the FIDE World Championship for girls under 14, making her the first female chess player from Uzbekistan to become a world champion.
