Uzbekistan launches separate company dedicated to trade development

23 prestigious global hotel brands are entering Uzbekistan. This was announced during a videoconference chaired by the President.
The tourism sector has seen remarkable progress. Hotels with a total capacity of 24,000 beds were launched this year, supported by 6.5 trillion UZS in investments from entrepreneurs.
Next year, hotel capacity is expected to increase by an additional 30,000 beds, with entrepreneurs ready to invest 10 trillion UZS for this purpose.
Another 25 complexes will be added to the 17 trade and tourist facilities commissioned this year.
An agreement has been reached to construct a large-scale center named "Sea Breeze" worth 10 billion USD in Bustonlik. Furthermore, 23 prestigious hotel brands such as Swissôtel, Sheraton, Ritz-Carlton, Novotel, Pullman, Marriott, ibis, and Mercure are entering the country.
A separate company has been set up to promote trade, with 350 million USD allocated to finance exports. As a result, For every dollar provided, entrepreneurs generated 6 dollars in export revenue.
Next year, an additional 300 million USD will be allocated for this purpose.
This year, entrepreneurs acquired 3,000 state-owned properties and 4,000 hectares of land, worth 11.5 trillion UZS to launch their businesses.
Next year, another 4,500 buildings and 6,000 hectares of land will be offered for business.
Private sector involvement in road repair and maintenance, which has long been in the state's monopoly, is expanding. This year, 260 kilometers of roads were handed over to entrepreneurs for maintenance services, and in 2025 this figure will increase to 3,000 kilometers.
Under the "Initiative Budget" program, 92% of road repair work was carried out by private contractors this year, with the aim to achieve 100% next year.
In collaboration with the Asian Development Bank, 841 kilometers of roads will be constructed in 86 districts, entirely executed by local contractors.
