Ulugbek Rashitov named “Best Male Athlete of the Year”
The World Taekwondo Federation announced the best athletes of 2024. According to the results, two-time Olympic champion Ulugbek Rashitov was declared the winner in the “Best Male Athlete of the Year” category.
The prestigious award was presented during the ongoing Poomsae World Championship in Hong Kong. Ulugbek Rashitov received his award from the Secretary-General of the World Taekwondo Federation, Jeongkang Seo.
In other categories, Hungaryʼs Viviana Marton was named “Best Female Athlete of the Year”, Azerbaijanʼs Imamaddin Halilov was awarded the “Male Para Taekwondo Athlete of the Year”, and Leonor Angélica Espinoza Carranza of Peru won the “Best Female Para Athlete of the Year” nomination.
