Shavkat Mirziyoyev's visit to Karakalpakstan concluded

During his visit to Karakalpakstan, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the yurt exhibition organized in the "Oqqush" complex in Nukus. President's press service reported about this.
It is worth noting that during his visit to the region in 2022, the President had instructed to organize a yurts exhibition. As a result, over fifty hectares of land were further developed, and many yurts were constructed. The largest yurt has a diameter of 42 meters and a height of 22 meters and includes an administrative office, a kitchen, and other rooms. This space can host various cultural events and forums.
The complex features yurts representing various Turkic peoples such as the Karakalpaks, Kazakhs, Turkmens, Kyrgyz, and Bashkirs, as well as those from different districts of Karakalpakstan. These yurts showcase the history, culture, and way of life of our brotherly nations.
The President toured these yurts and remarked.
“Our roots and destiny are intertwined. We need to expand such initiatives, hold joint festivals, and strengthen the friendship among people. It is essential to preserve national crafts, pass them on to the younger generation, train apprentices, and expand the publication of books for children in their native language,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
The complex also includes an artificial lake, an island, and a hotel. All of this has quickly transformed the location into a popular tourist destination. Visitors are showing great interest in exploring the yurts, national clothing, and household items.
This marked the end of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s visit to Karakalpakstan, after which he returned to Tashkent
