Andijan State Technical Institute to be established

The Presidential Decree [No. PQ-396, dated November 18, 2024] on establishing the Andijan State Technical Institute has been adopted. The news was shared by the “Huquqiy axborot” Telegram channel.
Under the decree, Andijan State Technical Institute will be formed by merging Andijan Institute of Mechanical Engineering, Andijan Institute of Economics and Construction, and Andijan Faculty of the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry.
The primary mission and activities of the institute include training specialists with modern knowledge and practical skills in areas such as automotive engineering, electrical engineering, energy, textiles, engineering, construction, and other industrial fields, in line with the regionʼs demand for professionals with higher education qualifications.
Starting from the 2025/2026 academic year:
The institute will expand its capacity to train specialists in power engineering, artificial intelligence, mechatronics, and robotics;
A system for assessing studentsʼ academic performance and professorsʼ effectiveness, aligned with international standards, will be implemented;
Students will have access to all necessary services for addressing organizational and legal issues during their studies through a “single-window” system;
Classes in foreign languages will be conducted in special groups for talented students admitted to bachelorʼs and masterʼs programs.
It was noted that all students currently studying at Andijan Institute of Mechanical Engineering, Andijan Institute of Economics and Construction, and Andijan Faculty of the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry will continue their studies at the newly established institute.
Graduating students will receive diplomas from the Andijan State Technical Institute starting from the 2024/2025 academic year.
